Pressure is how much weight is pushing down on us. Have you heard of atmospheric pressure? We are so used to the weight of the atmosphere that we don’t really notice it, but there are miles of air pushing down on us all the time. We use a barometer to measure atmospheric pressure.

Water takes less time to boil in the mountains than it does at sea level. That’s because the boiling point of water is lower at altitudes where the atmospheric pressure is .
