The relationship between wavelength and frequency is an inverse relationship.

In an inverse relationship, as one variable increases, the other variable decreases. For EM waves, the longer the wavelength, the lower the frequency.

The opposite of an inverse relationship is a direct relationship: as one variable increases, the other variable also increases. For example, the more money you deposit into your savings account, the higher your savings balance.

Click “Yes” if the statement describes an inverse relationship, and “No” if it does not.
