Jenny is a filmmaker, and she is choosing a shooting location for her movie. She’s deciding between Seattle and Chicago and climate is high up on her list of considerations. The two cities receive about the same amount of rain per year, but the distribution of rain over the seasons is very different.

Jenny noticed from the line graph that the weather pattern of dry and wet seasons for Seattle and Chicago is reversed.

In Seattle, it rains in the winter months, while in Chicago, there is rain in the summer months.
