TV411 yields the greatest educational rewards when it is
fully integrated into a lesson. Toward this end, we’ve
found three lesson components to be effective: a pre-viewing
activity to contextualize and direct
the students’ viewing experience; a post-viewing activity,
which allows students to process the main points of the segment; and ample opportunities
to practice and explore the skills and strategies modeled in the video.
