Interactive lessons comprise the bulk of the site. Here, learners have
the opportunity to practice the skills and concepts presented in the videos
in new contexts and at their own pace. However, as with all TV411 materials,
the lessons can be used on their own and in any order. Each lesson comprises
the following: an opening slide show with stills taken from the corresponding
video segment and a summary of the learning objectives; three activities,
each of which has a series of questions and problems that provide customized
feedback based on the learner's response; and a wrap-up, restating the
learning objectives and suggesting tasks for further practice. The encouraging
and constructive feedback and the abundant explanatory graphics make the
lessons especially suited to independent study.
