As part of our continued efforts to respond to the needs of adult educators in the field, ALMA has produced several supplemental lessons to accompany our TV411 Teacher’s Guide. Like those in the original Teacher’s Guide, these lessons use only TV411 materials and are designed for a two-hour meeting of an ABE or ESOL pre-GED level class. The lesson format, like the TV411 video, however, can easily be tailored to suit your classroom. You can delete or adapt activities to fit your time frame or contribute your own real-life examples and materials to further develop a teaching point. All lesson plans include portfolio suggestions, so that students can keep track of their work and assess their progress.
