CASAS Life
Skill Competencies are learning objectives specified for young
adults and adults in their roles as community members, workers,
parents, and family members.
EFF
Equipped for the Future
(EFF) is an initiative of the National Institute for Literacy
(NIFL). EFF includes 16 standards that define the knowledge
and skills that adults need to be effective in their roles as
family members, community members, and workers. The EFF standards
are organized in four categories: Communication Skills, Decision-Making
Skills, Interpersonal Skills, and Lifelong Learning Skills.
TABE
The Tests of Adult
Basic Education (TABE) are widely used in adult education for
student assessment and to prescribe specific areas for skill development.
