Directions

Pricing a job means figuring out what to charge for your work so that you can cover costs and make a profit.

There are two kinds of costs:

  1. Overhead covers general business costs, like equipment, insurance, and rent that are not restricted to one job or product.
  2. Direct costs cover materials and contract labor for a particular job or product.
Bill runs a painting business. Help him calculate his overhead. Click "yes" next to costs that count as overhead. Click "no" next to those that don't.
